Residents who bring their pets can receive a free microchip in advance of this year’s hurricane season. Pets do not have to be present in order to receive free pet food. Residents must remain in vehicles and practice social distancing, and are encouraged to wear face coverings. On Saturday, June 6, Volusia County Animal Services, in partnership with the ASPCA, will be providing free cat and dog food and microchips for county and city residents’ pets.
